Above photos is by Alexandre Orion, an awesome Brazilian street artist/photographer. I met him at his show at 111 Minna a few years back. None of his shots are setup, he waits for a random person to come by, sometimes for days, to interact with the graffiti and get his shot.
I was reminded of him because the photo that one the street photography “pic pick” contest is in a similar, but not as cool vein. Apparently, the person that won the contest did not even take the photo, which as Chiam points out, kind of defeats the purpose.
